Luba Freeport signs new contract with Indian waste management company IGESA
In May 2015, IGESA, part of the Indian group Shree Hari, signed a 3 year contract with Luba Freeport, to establish and operate a total waste management facility within the Freeport.
Managing Director, Mr. Rakesh Dudhat, explained ” The Shree Hari group has similar facilities in India and the Middle East and we are delighted to establish a new facility at Luba. We will offer services including incineration of household type waste, treatment of waste oils, sludge and drilling chemicals, disposal of batteries etc. IGESA has already obtained authorisations from the Ministry of Environment and Ministry of Mines in Equatorial Guinea to establish the waste management facility and we expect to have Phase 1 of the project operational by July of this year. The facility will be operated to the highest international standards and we expect our clients to include the oil majors and their service providers already operating in Equatorial Guinea.”
