Luba Freeport Ltd. (LFL) recently provided manpower and equipment to assist the Luba Town Council during a five-day clean-up operation.
The clean-up operation was in response to the damage caused by three days of torrential rain. The rain had caused major flooding in many low-lying areas and left some roads submerged. Once the rain and flood waters had subsided, LFL availed equipment and personnel to assist local authorities.
The management of LFL took the decision to assist in these operations as part of their commitment to helping local authorities wherever possible. The clean-up operations were covered by local television crews, and LFL staff and management were thanked by His Excellency, Francisco Pascual Eyegue Obama Asue, Prime Minister of Equatorial Guinea.
